Mo wa laaye 3 – Limited Prints
A4 Size with black frame and mount.
All three paintings represent my 2 younger brothers and myself. Mo wa laaye means ‘I’m Alive’ in my Nigerian native language Yoruba. These pieces represent staying alive through the storm, pain and oppression. We were born in Sweden and lived there in the late 80s to the late 90s we. As the only blacks in a little town Linköping in Sweden we suffered pains individually, racially and personally. And if I can look back now and then I can easily say we survived it all and have become great Kings in what we are as a character and as a black person.
